1 year anniversary of new BFW forum

I think thats the crux of it Ian. The personal slagging matches highlight one thing in my opinion, and that is a lack of respect. Its a shame, because it doesn't happen across the board, and Angling will never be united whilst this is the case. I said at the time that posting under your...

    Announcement

Not at all. Like i said Jerry, if thats the measure that was required then its a sad indicament of society and what the internet has done. Some of us don't appreciate the big brother nature that is prevalent now. Some of us just like to mind our business. I come here to talk about fishing...

    Announcement

Maybe because people don't have the info they feel they need to make a decision. Also, by watching the reported(if true) demise of the BS. I'm not suspicious personally, and i hope they achieve what they set out to, whether that be the maintenance of Barbel habitats, the trimming of otter...

    Announcement

I'm struggling to appreciate what the ABF will offer that other groups don't. Another forum that the same people will frequent, striving to achieve similar goals to those groups that have fell away. I'd be interested to hear if there is a true democracy as stated. Many clubs offer as much but...

    The Legend Returns

Yeh, i agree, maybe i didn't explain myself clearly at first and hopefully i've done a better job with the post above. Like you say they all work but the Garlic and Pepper flavours haven't become so widely renowned for nothing.

    The Legend Returns

Pellet, paste, boilie, hemp covers pretty much everything. Would say I spend £40 absolute tops on all my bait for a season. I'm just not 1 who goes through an awful lot. Don't get me wrong, not knocking anyone, people can do what they like but i just find it funny when a Netto/ Aldi/...

    The Legend Returns

You can get decent brands that are right for the job for a lot less than £1.50. Theres plenty you can add to it for your own uniqueness. I just couldn't justify going spending £50-£100 on tins of meat:D. I only use it in high water conditions as it is so only get through maybe half a...

    The Legend Returns

Why don't you just flavour your own plain meat rather than pay £1.50 a tin? Not knocking it mind because it does work but Netto will be laughing. Roll out the garlic spam a couple of times a year and watch the anglers descend!!:D

    Glueing Elips...

Well if it wasn't would there have been a need for a 4 page thread? There much easier ways than glueing, believe me.

    Glueing Elips...

I can't believe that you all glue your pellets on. That must be one of the hardest, fiddliest ways to do it!

    Two Tone dead

Its coming on the bloody national news, thats a bit sad.

    Gripper leads

They're overrated in my opinion. In low water conditions, on my usual river i use leads of about 3/4 oz or 2oz when theres a bit on, so no real need for them there.

river goyt archimeadian screw objection details

Hmmmm. I'm not savvy with construction and planning processes etc but the fact they have "full planning permission" for both sites doesn't sound very good. Apart from that the rest of it seems to be political rubbish to appease any investors that might have been expecting immediate work etc...

    Lucky anglers?

Spot on. Its all about confidence. I believe you make your own luck. Its not something i think you can change by trying to think positively. I had a shocking season 08/09. Fished many many hours in different areas using different tactics for very little reward. I was constantly banging my...

    That's Minging!!!

:D Have had that but on a smaller scale Daniel. Bought a pint of mags a couple of years ago and as the fridge was out of bounds they had to go at the bottom of the garden. Later on we had a massive storm that must have knocked the box over. Lid came off, mags escaped crawled up the...

    Quick Question re EA

Just for the purposes of a uni project. Do the EA qualify as a Not-for Profit organisation or are they classed as a government department? Cheers
