    Lake District Pike

Steve, Good to know you enjoy it up here, was at Bewdley and Bridgenorth a few weeks back and was well impressed, would love to live that close to quality rivers, not bad night life too! I'm not a big fan of Coniston, if you've got a boat Windemeres the place to be, it's just annoying having...

    Lake District Pike

Cheers Guys, Graham i know what you mean on Rydal, it is a gorgeous place though and it's been producing a few good ens lately. The fish I'm holding in the picture had a nasty wound that looked like a cormorant had had a go. Esthwaite is a very hard water to crack I think, he also charges a...

    TF Gear bankboss ultralight chair

JRC chairs all the way for me!! lightweight, comfy and not that expensive. Whatever you buy mate make sure it's got a lightweight frame, know plenty of people that have been duped by the price and got steel framed chairs and bedchairs, worst thing ever on long trecks! jack

    Lake District Pike

Have been travelling around lately fishing and getting pretty poor results. Think I should have been fishing closer to home! You take the lakes for granted when you live here. Just had a great day for pike on Grassmere topped by this 25 pound 4 oz beauty. Has anyone else been having any joy on...

Low water levels on the Severn & Teme

Might well have done, I fish the elston farm stretch a bit, been on the prince albert stretches a bit too. I want to get on the Ribble but can't get out of work. We've had a cottage booked for the Severn (near Bewdley) for a couple of months, that's why we're going down there. Might try and...

Thanks Steve, I've got a few areas in mind that'll allow fishing into dark so we'll have a look at those first. Jack

Low water levels on the Severn & Teme

Hello All, Been looking at the weather for the Severn and Teme areas and feeling increasingly desperate as the weeks going on. Going down that way on Monday for a week from Cumbria and looking at the environment agency water levels the rivers are well down:( Any advice to put us on a few fish...

A great start to the pike season!

Great fish, nice steamlined shape to it! bet it fought like crazy this time of year too! Bit jelous to be honest, I've been after one of them from the lake district for ages  Might take a drive to the wye this year if that's anything to go by.

I've been on the trent a few times before at the section by A1 pits. Gets a bit busy (few inconsiderate carpers spodding in kilos of bait too:mad::mad:) but there's some cracking fish there. 12lb 4 been my best off that stretch.

    Winter suites.......

See you've got loads of good advice already mate but I'll stick my oar in! Recently got a drennan e-sox 3 piece winter suit, it's not cheap (shop around you'll get one for £130) but it's nice and warm with a removable quilted inner jacket. You don't sweat yourself stupid on the way to your swim...

Cheers for all the feedback fella's! I'm definately going for a session on the Teme after reading all that. Problem is the trip's bassed around my brothers 40th and he's a bit of a numbers man so keeps banding on about Hampton Load on the Severn, I'd rather sit it out and wait for a biggy...

Know what you mean with the windermere thing - Huge water and very hit and miss - the mind boggles what might be in there though and all the roach you catch are a descent size...2lb6 biggest so far but hopefully a 3 will be on the way this winter!

Hi all, Haven't seen many new threads by new members so not sure what the crack is so I'll keep this brief. Names Jack from south cumbria and am a big barbel fan, which poses a bit of a problem as the nearest barbel river (ribble) is an hour and a half away. Haven't been on the barbel yet...
