I have a Pair of the Daiwa Avon Advanced (PSA-119) Identical format to the Powermesh, really well finished as is the Daiwa way, you never seem to hear much about the Daiwa Specialist rods compared to others..... Like a lot of things bought them to try but haven't been able to get out much...

I have a pair of original Drennan Super specialists 12' 1.5lb tc in near perfect condition you could have for £150, i have a third one which i use for floater fishing for carp...have had them to mid doubles, the rods cope quite admirably. Pictures available on request.....if i can get them off...

A big pile of well rotted horse muck! We have just transferred about 3/4 of our manure heap onto the land, and it was absolutely stuffed with red worms & dendras, i originally put about 1/4 kilo into it a year or two ago...the horse muck is in/on rapeseed straw as it breaks down much quicker...

Two things..... you can apply for a licence to shoot it if it is causing a lot of damage, sometimes they grant them...... And the reason its there is probably because its already had positive contact with humans (RSPCA) and has lost most of its fear of us.....most of the ones in the Gt Ouse have...

We have a few around St Ives in Cambs, that is 80 miles inland... Unfortunately they seem to be quite settled to river life and have been around for at least 3 years. They, with the other "furry pests" have denuded the area of larger fish, to the point that there is bugger all chance of catching...
