    Holdall

If it’s the one I’m thinking of I use one of these for big Bream fishing. I was looking for something in between the drennan two Rod and the big carp holdalls. It can carry 2 made up rods and two in their bags which suits me if I’m fishing three rods and using a spod or marker rod. Like you...

How much how often this time of year

A basic question but if you’re fishing a river like the Wye this time of year how much bait do you put in and how often? Would you use a big feeder full of pellets and hemp or a pva mesh bag? Or Groundbait balls or use a dropper? How often would you cast?

    Harrison Chimera 3 rods? Alternatives?

There’s a set of three 2.75 Chimeras on eBay at the moment. A bit pricey and they look like they’re ringed for Carping but you might be interested

Fishing is about as good as it gets for being in the moment without actively meditating IMO. I think watching a float, quiver or Rod tip would put most of us in a meditative state without realizing it.

🙂 I wouldn’t dream of contradicting a professional but I’ve been practicing Mindfulness since long before it became fashionable and it certainly helps me. 👍

Having suffered from mental health problems most of my life I wish society had been more understanding when I was growing up. There is a rush of people trying to use it for their own benefit, it was always going to happen and I know that the psychotherapy and psychology communities are not very...

    Its four in the morning..

Government spending on infrastructure seems to be politically driven - once we’re past Covid you’ll probably hear more about projects that will be beneficial to areas where Boris feels he can cement the gains he made from Labour in the last election I think Boris sees this as an opportunity to...

    Its four in the morning..

I don’t disagree with you at all I was just suggesting that Brexit has come at a bad time for manufacturing in the uk. manufacturing, and the whole economy needs just the sort of cheap young Labour that we’ve sent back to Europe.

    Its four in the morning..

Unfortunately for years now, in global terms, we’ve had a low-skilled workforce and low-productivity issues. It’s only getting worse with Brexit Manufacturing will go to countries with cheap, flexible and skilled Labour and a technologically progressive culture. High wage economies like ours...

    Safe on the bank?

I've fished Walthamstow at night and I've never heard gunshots. It's urban there but it's not the Wild West - I've fished there for years and never felt unsafe and I'm a bit of a scaredy.
