Yeah, I've got no idea mate but be nice to know one way or another. Like I say mine certainly doesn't look like it's been replaced, definitely not due to a snapped tip which is normally the reason to replace a tip ring but I can't say for sure.

Managed to pick this up for £30 from my local tackle shop. I know nothing about it other than uts 12ft 1.25lb but I assume, like most Drennan rods, it's pretty decent? Cheers Martin

Cheers mate, I was just curious as assumed due to the weight everyone would suggest them but I don't like the look of them, much prefer the solid back plate and I've decided I'm going to get one that I like the look of the most as they all seem to be very similar.
