Korum Barbel
The new 3K series are quite thick blanks and heavier than the version they replaced despite the blub saying otherwise, but, you can't go wrong with them at the price.
Korum must have sold loads of them over the years now in the various versions.
I just bought the rather expensive Korda 45L rucksack. Already I can vision it rolling down the bank come June 16th 😂
Think I'll be back out with my Korum Roving Ruckbag. I've seen you can pick up the Progress 35L version for around £40.
Are these sort of pellets good for loose feed? I've bought similar from my local independent tackle shop before rather than branded Halibut pellets. Obviously they smell completely different to Halibut pellets so I wasn't sure how effective they would be?
Although I guess when hungry, Barbel...
Hmm, I'm really struggling to get used to this 1.25lb version, just feels very soft compared to rods I've previously owned. Very wary of getting the 1.75 now
This may be another expensive purchase that I'm gonna have to sell at a big loss just to move it on 🤣
Thanks mate, unfortunately the 1.75 is out of stock, I've already got the 1.25 and don't think it's worth having the 1.5.
Although sometimes on the W.Avon a 1.75 feels like a flood water rod 🤣
We'll maybe have to try and arrange a meet up, I wouldn't mind seeing a Torrix in the flesh.
Very least you can have a good laugh at my angling skill (I'm very good at casting into trees)
I know a couple of guys who absolutely clean up on the Avon at Barton most trips, although I don't know how they do it as in the past 2 seasons I can count the amount of barbel I've had on one hand 😂
I'm terrible for buying rods, I always think there's something better so buy one and then find...
Yeah I saw that post, the Tamers were very high on my list but I kept seeing posts about how soft they were. I've moved most of my tackle over to Guru/Korda now, I just lost a bit of confidence in all my Korum stuff, especially end tackle.
It's daft because of how long I've been fishing and my...
Get yourself a solid glass or carbon tip section, cut back the broken tip a little and slide in the solid section and whip some eyes on.
You can find the old video online of John Wilson fixing a broken rod in this way.
If you did just want to replace it, grab a Shakespeare Solitude 11ft 1.25...
Thanks Nigel, took me a while to try one, I just didn't know what I wanted and the more modern styling of them with the cork/foam handle put me off the looks a little.
I had tried the new Drennan barbel rod and was disappointed after such a long wait for them, felt just like the £50 range of...
Hi guys.
So this season I've switched over to the Guru dual tip specialist rods, I currently have the 1.25 and will be getting the 1.75
For those who have used these rods or own them, are they true through action? I've only ever really used korum rods and a couple of the Drennan specialist...
I'm surprised how many like the bolt and run kits, I found them very poor, the bead pulls off the swivel before the run ring releases off the bead in my experience with them. I switch to the Fox/OMC tulip type beads that do the same thing. I have since seen Atomic do a version that you can have...
I don't think people laughing at their product release was the response the marketing team were hoping for 😂👍🏻
But in the past I have been pretty much 100% korum. I took a long break from fishing and upon returning I bought into korum as I've always liked the Specialist side of things and their...
Hey, that lunch box took some development! The way that lid seals to keep your food fresh is cutting edge engineering!
And those locking clips! Thing of beauty! I bet they make a lovely 'click' sound as you push them down.
Lot of money being wasted by the Rather Outdoors group, Fox Rage who...
