Greys and Cadence

I'm looking at buying a rucksack and rod holdall so the two I've been looking at is the Greys Prodigy Tackle Base Rucksack and the Cadence CL10 Specimen 2 Rod Quiver has anyone got these and how do you find them?? Also has anyone got any other recommendations??
(I'm getting my gear sorted out slowly but it's all been based on your opinions and me reading reviews..... I'm going to sort out my Pike stuff and old match gear including stuff like 3000 stradics made in Japan and should I put them on this forum or straight on ebay?? )

This months Carpology magazine has a article comparing rucksacks. The thinking Anglers one (£89.99) 'won' it and the Avid RVS Compact won best value. There was 12 options in it but Korum wasn't represented.

Was it this one 🤔

I just bought the rather expensive Korda 45L rucksack. Already I can vision it rolling down the bank come June 16th 😂

Think I'll be back out with my Korum Roving Ruckbag. I've seen you can pick up the Progress 35L version for around £40.

I personally could only recommend one fishing brand rucksack which would be the Cotswold Aquarius Packerlight, but would suggest that the mountaineering brands or an army type be better For quality, functionality and price? Than most fishing brands, These are the two that I use most unless I’m going for a few days and need loads of water / food as well as fishing gear then it would be a larger army burgen type mate 👍🏻

I should add that the smaller one “Army Molle” is deceptively big and could probably hold more than the one on the left of the picture that’s the small size but the medium size would be perfect for most situations and much cheaper than the fishing brands, my friend has a exspensive Bergaus bag that’s still going strong after 15 years of hard use! I guess you get what you pay for? 👍🏻

For rucksack, I’d suggest one that you can lay flat on the ground like Korum buck bag.

For quiver, Korum folding quiver is the best you can get.
Due to purchasing a Korum deluxe river fishing tripod plus obviously Brolly and landing net handle etc would I be better in getting the 3 rod quiver even thou I would be using 2 rods due to the size but thanks for recommending it as it looks an impressive bit of kit 👍

They do 3 rods folding quiver, actually, it was until last year they added 2rods quiver, it was 3 rods all the time before that.

Although I don't think they're as good as the original Korum Transition holdalls, what Huan is suggesting would be a good call as they offer more protection than a standard quiver, especially for your new Freespirits and Thunnuses, and have a far bit of room😀

Thank you all for your advice and I'm now sorted and I think I've had a couple of good deals

Never understand the popularity of the Thinking Anglers rucksack. I had one and it was the most uncomfortable rucksack i’ve had and don’t get me started on the internal pockets. That was many years ago though they may of changed.

Already been said but I also rate the Korum ruckbag and folding quivers….they got it spot on with these. Knowing that they have a habit of ‘upgrading’ their offerings (often with inferior models) I’ve bought one of each to have as spares

That’s something that I’ve found with nearly every fishing branded bag I’ve come across, is that there uncomfortable to carry giving very poor back support and too many pockets that actually make them less versatile? The better ruck sacks in my opinion are the mountaineering and military types that are inevitably more expensive but are fit for purpose and last a lot longer.
