Looking at getting a centre pin for some trotting down the Mole etc. Not after anything expensive while im learning to use it. Any recommendations?

I have enough tins in my cupboard to feed a small nation so will be using meat a lot more this coming season.

Tried meat, caught an Eel! :D Think i'll just stick to boilies on the Thames and use the meat/paste etc. on smaller rivers!

Any one had any success using halibut pellet and matching paste? I tried it before but only seemed to attract Bream.

What are peoples preferences on presentation? Straight on the hook or hair rigged on a boilie/pellet/cork ball?

Ive been using Greys Prodigy TX 2lb tc on the Thames in flood and had no problems.

Come and fish the Thames if you want to see canoes, rowing boats, floating gin palaces etc.

Have just taken delivery of some of the sausage sizzle 18mm squabs, glug and paste. The glug is like marmalade and the smell of all 3 is fantastic. Great service from Lone Angler as well.

Thanks Paul. I may not bother using on the Thames as the current is usually quite strong where i normally fish but I will certainly give the back leads a try down the Mole. Do you use any form of anti-tangle tubing etc. or just straight through running rig?

Sorry, me again! What size would you use on the Thames? Usual flow, not flood conditions.

I have one of these. Fairly light but also very comfy.

I managed to find a pair of Wychwood Lunkers on Ebay a while back. These boots are seriously warm but best used when fishing static as they are quite heavy and cumbersome.
