    Yes but that's just that....an average. ..it's not accounting for the summer fishing compared to the winter fishing...there are rivers where if you get it right you can bag 20 plus barbel a day,some being repeat captures of course.

    Feeder rod recommendations

    Drennan avon/quiver tip for me covers my chub fishing, Avon top 1.5tc and 3 quivertips on the lighter side of the fishing.

    Lowest temperature I caught was minus 7. You have to fish the deeper waters in these conditions IMO

    Caught a few splashers with the Calverton marks on....generally yellow spots. Do they release the fish locally to hazleford/lady pits.

    Yes Mate....but I was a roach man back then, some cracking days on the stick on the open field....good chub too. In fact I had a few beards on 2lb bottom there....now that's a hair raiser

    Used to fish below and above it years ago. Went for an amble whilst fishing below on the open field about 4 or 5 years ago....approached the weir and was asked where I was going ( rod and net in hand) by two brummie guys.....got told in no uncertain terms that it was private fishing...
