Walcott lake east

Anyone know who controls this after BAA dropped it? Beautiful place , weedy but a raking the night before rewarded you with a good days fishing.

Taken from the BAA website:

Following the EU ban on the use of aquatic herbicides and subsequent years when the lake has been unfishable owing to the excess weed growth, it has been decided to close down the Walcot East Lake fishery for the foreseeable future. The closure will come into effect from January 1st 2017. It is hoped that the Association will, in due course, find a sustainable solution to the weed problem and in the meantime will be looking for alternative arrangements for the use of the lake.

Sounds like they've still got it then Jeff but don't know what to do with it! Can't see why they can't just get one of those weed cutter boats on there, might even get the AT/EA to help them out with that, or just leave it for members to rake their swims like you say.

Ahh so they still have it...thanks Rhys. ....last time I was up there a weed boat was moored up the end from the road.
