Shame he doesn't do any customisations on these.

I'm the opposite,for some reason, I hold the rod between the little finger and the next one up. If I have a screw down, it feels uncomfortable as it does for u.

I know what you mean by the wire being thin G. I don't use leader tubing, all I use is the standard loop to attach to the x safe. However i double over my loop on the wire, so its not resting on one piece of line, but two, if you get what i mean. I don't think they are made to take tubing either...
