Are climate change lock-downs coming our way to 'save' the planet?

Bill's book covers the Aire as well. The large salmon runs in which he was referencing were mostly up the Ouse and into the dales rivers. He mentions that the Aire is on the up.

    Rivers back then.

There used to be huge salmon runs up the Yorkshire rivers up until the 30's. This is covered extensively in Bill Winship's new pike book. The government allowed the pollution for the war effort. Runs have been increasing now for years .

When I first fished the Trent Simon, on the Clifton stretch (1981-82), chub were in abundance. Wandering to each tree and catching on luncheon meat. Happy days. Chub are certainly there in much smaller numbers as you say. However, imho the Trent in many ways is much improved. The barbel are...

    Battrery powered socks

I was wondering what I could do to warm up my feet whilst sitting in my seat on over-nighters last autumn. My feet were getting damp and cooling down making it uncomfortable. I saw a pair of battery warmed socks in an Austrian resort the other day that would fit the bill . Intersport price...

    Bivvy Heaters

Yes very tragic. Probably didn't know much about it . Carbon Monoxide the silent killer. Generally produced due to insufficient oxygen being available at combustion. He'd closed his bivvy (to retain heat) but tragically, in effect, reducing the oxygen supply for complete combustion.

I've been fishing the Lakes on and off for a variety of species for 39 years. Human shit and phosphates have been going into some of the lakes, notably, Windermere for years. Little in the way of water treatment infrastructure to keep up with to cope with the increase in tourism.

    global warming

Hi Joe. I was actually searching for a video, that I watched some time ago, of a scientist, that was using (long standing verified) chemical thermodynamic equations to disprove the theory that CO2 is the driver of 'climate change'. Basically, he concluded, that we could double the amount of CO2...

    global warming

Yes. In the 1600's the country experienced the frozen river Thames and a flourishing wine production industry in Yorkshire. Demonstrating extremes of temperature in the same century. If it's not talk of the next mini ice-age in the 1970's to the global warming from the 1990's going forward...

Rob Mitchell said "GB news isn’t a credible news source. Its a right wing conspiracy-prone load of nonsense, convincing it‘s very small amount of viewers that everyone is else is a sheep and they’re the enlightened ones. Ironic that it’s everyone else that’s being ‘controlled’…." GB news has a...

William Happer (post above) is an eminent physicist from Princeton University. The first 2.5 minutes cites his work, experience and qualifications (a bit boring to be honest but demonstrates his credentials). Happer discusses the thermodynamics , CO2 levels current (400 ppm) and historical (up...

    global warming

"What is there to control that they don't already"? From what I've seen and read (GB news), the way the agenda seems to be progressing, is a limit on people's ability to travel, and also what they can eat. Private jet travel to climate change conferences and steak for certain individuals and...

Klaus Schwab (World Economic Forum) a verified and well publicised statement. "You will own nothing and be happy". Apparently the pecking order is the BIS (Bank of International Settlement), then the IMF, WEF and then National Government's. We can't get rid of the first three if we don't like...
