Hello to all
Hope your all getting out and doing well..
Have a question relating to feeding times on the Thames, mainly the lower part of it. I have done quite well fishing in the winter months fishing to around midnight but just wondered if there are many on here that have done ok "post...
Not related I know but I think that Mr Barder was one of those rare types that was great at anything he put his mind to. I seem to remember he took up golf (post leg loss) and had a really good handicap.
:D
The first batch (of a very ltd edition) have already been sold.
Don't know why some people get so upset. It's like anything else really. We can drive a ford Escort or a Roller. It's just about what you want and if you can afford to by it.
:D
Check out the Alt Berg website.
I have the Warrior Aqualite II. Really top boot, handmade in Yorkshire.
They do loads of styles, quite like the look of the Sneeker ones...

Nothing wrong with Pins. I collect and own lot's from Paul Witcher, Lythes and to many others. There good for close in work and trotting and enjoy using them but I would not want use them for much else..lol holding mid river on the Severn when it's up and pulling hard, no thanks.
Many big...
CL's reels are the best out there, imo they are better engineered than the reels from the 20's and 30's. Chris's finish is outstanding. Love my 15's and Spitfires.
btw...I will be bay'ing a unused Scotton Trotter and a Browning Revolver in the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes peeled...
Your not the first person to not be a 100% happy with it. I have one but to be honest I have not used it much.
I suppose you could "Jerrymander" a Carp net down to the required size !!

Chris Brown net, very strong. He has one called the "Barbel & Chub" net. I have one of these with a flowing water mesh. Really strong net indeed.

I know it's not 70 pounds and I know the test curve is 1.75 but the Torrix 11ft is superlative. The top section is so nice and supple and the butt has lots of power. To me it's one of those rods that you pick up and just want to go fishing with it. I couple it with a Witcher 1920, great combo...
What with population increase and low water table, RW's observations are indeed interesting. I don't have the knowledge on this subject but at the very least, can you say that things will improve long term?. The rivers I (and all of us I suspect) remember from years back were...
Enjoy your fishing the way you want. I just don't understand why people get hot enough to slag other peoples fishing, it just shows ignorance and plain bad spirit.
btw
How about this then. Fishing with cammo trousers, Carp (margin) fishing with Barder rod and Witcher pin. Watching the...
I used to Carp fish a great deal in 70's 80's and most of the 90s and there is nothing wrong with it. Everyone must get enjoyment from the sport in the way they they prefer it, why slag people (and the way they enjoy Angling) on a net forum. Would you class all the modern Capers like Hearn...
