We all know centrepins are best for barbel fishing...

... so why not upgrade for the season ahead?

I'm pleased to announce the launch of my new website, specialising in vintage tackle, books, artwork, and other fishing-related items.

I've got a good selection of centrepins available at the moment, that will undoubtedly enhance your barbel fishing experience.

Please take a few moments to have a look

Collectable Vintage Tackle

thanks, Tim

There is a great shop near me called Yately Angling Centre, they have all the top gear in there, massively advanced and evolved from all that old tat...........;)

Seriously though, some nice kit there for collecting and putting in a glass case, I for one am not a supporter of fishing with vintage tackle, would much rather use the best stuff available.

Good luck Tim, hope it all goes well.

Hi men,

Good luck with your venture , even if you are spamming us with bits of tin and runner bean stands:D.

Fact is that you can fish in any conditions on any river with pukka pencil thin carbon , and multi bearing baitrunner reels . Opinions , as I have this old tat on my walls and cabernets , they look fantastic in my period cottage , but I still watch a top of the range tv :D.

Agree with Crooky ..... In my view a tad overpriced memorabilia and strictly for those in love with the tought of catching!

Nothing wrong with Pins. I collect and own lot's from Paul Witcher, Lythes and to many others. There good for close in work and trotting and enjoy using them but I would not want use them for much else..lol holding mid river on the Severn when it's up and pulling hard, no thanks.

Many big big Barbel on them, even Carp over 30lb, yeah that's love lol

Take no notice of them Tim . Pins and cane I love em ,caught 2 feisty barbel this evening on an old Richard Walker Mk IV cane carp rod , well up to the job . I did cheat though using a 50 year old mitchell , tut tut :D:D

Mike, I know we're right, you know we're right. The heathens don't know what they're missing!

This heathen gave it a go, mainly due to nonsense like this thread. Enough people saying this kind of thing had me convinced that there must be something in it. For me, there wasn't. Nice use of the royal we though, best count me out.:p

Hi Tim

your website is now in my favorites :)

catching on vintage tackle is somthing not to be missed.

I agree vintage tackle is not for every trip but to use a cane Richard Walker rod on Redmire is stuff of dreams. :)

all the best Tim.
