    Meat keep coming off?.Try a loop of pole elastic tied on a hair.Barrel shaped piece of meat sits well in the loop.Saw this in an old barbel fisher article by Steve Stayner i believe.

    About 40 years ago on the Thames at night(above Staines stone,illegal then)when the river allways had a good flow.Only about 4lb but fantastic to me.

    Used it in 10lb,does tend to break easily.Luckily on snags not fish.Gone back to GR60 as i dont trust it in this strength.Maybe ok in 15lb but cannot afford it just for a try out.

    Just tried the Avid lead on an old Thamesley and the door opens ok.Works even better on a tin dropper i have got(unknown make)as it has a longer wire stem.Lead is also reusable for its original purpose after.

    Could try an Avid inline lead.Open slit with knife,push over stem and close with forceps.Maybe to heavy for you as smallest is 1 1/2 ounces.
