    Rod Rest Angle adaptors

I use the Jag Mk1's, and have used the Fox ones too. They both work well. Have used cheaper ones in the past but ive not found any that work as well.

    landing net head

I use one of these sometimes, in conjunction with a QR adaptor. Being able to be detached from the pole, pop the net arm out, collapse and roll it down to enable to lift fish is a big plus point. Build quality isn't the finest, nor would i expect it to be for the price, but it serves a purpose...

    Light shelter / brolly

I bought a Pentalite last winter...was looking for a Fox Specialist but there were none in stock anywhere. Been very happy with it so far, stood up to some fair winds, and can squeeze my bedchair under it if i need to as well. Very light...certainly the lightest 'storm' brolly i have ever...

    Diawa powermesh reel seat

Come to think of it, its actually the screw fixing that backs off from being tights with my ss2600s, so the tape was put on to prevent this.

    Diawa powermesh reel seat

Yes, they do a little with my SS2600s, but not with my Shimmy 3500bs... I just wrapped a bit of tape round the bottom of the threas once tightened up to my Daiwas.

    Headtorch ?

I bought one of these last year on Gerrys recomendation, and have to say it has been faultless.

    Tidal trent.

Absolutely, or get a good bow in your line and most are suprised at how well you can hold with lighter weights.

    Tidal trent.

I understand your point Terry, but by this logic you wouldn't fish any river for barbel in summer with rods less than 2lb+ tc?

    Tidal trent.

The fish nost definitely aren't the issue for 1.75tc rods, it will come down to casting weight, loaded feeder etc, and of course conditions on the day. If there's no extra water on (dependant on how tidal the stretch is), i would expect you can cope for a session with those rods, however if you...

Daiwa powermesh or fox x4 ?

I picked a pair of the Powermesh up last season, predominantly for carping on some very tidal stretches of the Trent, but they have soon found their way to being my rod of choice for barbeling as well, handling 10oz leads, or big loaded feeders comfortably. Very good value rod for the money.

    Korum compact pod

As i mentioned, take a look at these...can alternate between sticks or bar/pod style setup in no time, and obviously takes up no room at all.

    Korum compact pod

Take a look at the Avid Lok Down Buzz Bars.

2 x ss2600 with carbon washers and improved line clip.

I've got either 6 or 8 of them, use them for anything and they have always coped admirably.

    Get you, perfect, thanks.

    Pike

Thanks all. I'm assuming the handle can be used at full extension without having to lock in this case then? Without risk of it all sliding out if the inner comes out the back end of the handle?

    Floodwater rods.

Future fishing in Farndon usually hold a good stock, when we are out of this anyway!
