Yes Mark,
but i believe Chris caught the same fish a couple of weeks before Bob caught it. and yes they were fishing together at the time.
Looking at my print, it's not numbered so not as valuable as it seems.....:o
I've also got this print, bought at an ABE day years ago (remember them?).
I believe this is the fish that Chris Yates caught and never got a photo cos' it slipped back in the river accidentally. I'll have to have a look for it, i'm sure it's signed by John and Chris.
Didn't realise it was...
Have to agree with that.
Remember going to their little factory unit in Witney to pick some stuff up from Bruce Vaughn back in about 1990?? They had just started making luggage and their excellent clothing, i bought a jacket (lasted for ages). Back then a few old ladies were manning the sewing...
Tackle that i WISH i still had??
That would have to be the Vortex 10' 6 inch glass rod and ryobi reel my dad bought for my birthday many moons ago.
I remember the day like it was yesterday, me a little 7 or 8 year old and Douggie Chambers (owner) handing them over the counter of Cupits tackle...
Why when walking the bank asking fellow anglers 'any good?', do you always get the reply 'Nope, only been ere 10 minutes'.
Does everyone arrive 10 minutes before me????
Yep, totally agree with all of the above.
The BBC always seem to excel at this type of programme. I've seen three, i thought there was one left (Autumn).
Maybe i missed it, hope not.....
As Simon has already said, touch ledgering if you are using just the one rod. I've often nodded off but the rod being pulled out of your hand tends to wake you up :D
Spot on Mark,
i think you may find that his brother owns a fishery there, possibly the one you mention.
As an earlier poster said, a great place to visit but not so sure i'd like to stay all year.
Me? I love the seasons too much....:)
