muckboots

I have a pair of the Spey's Simon and i cannot speak highly enough of them.

I have seen loads of them on the banks, everyone seems too be wearing them at the moment. One word of warning though, on wet wooden bridges they are lethal, i have been over several times while wearing them, they have no grip whatso ever on wet wood............... mind you, not a lot else has either LOL

Are they any good on wet muck Tom?

Cheers, Dave.

Hi men ,

Mine are the camo version , so when I'm standing on grass it looks like I'm levitating above the ground :D, bit like dynamo man goes fishing :p

Iv got the Taysports best footwear i could have purchased!!

I must of been unlucky. The neoprene inner wore out at the heel in less than six months. This resulted in blisters everytime i used them. Glad i got them at a reduced price.

Purchased mine the other year. Still plenty happy with them :)

For summer use the Tay might be a bit too hot and for mid winter you might want even more insulation. However, for autumn and spring barbel fishing they are perfect IMHO.

Hi men,

I have a pair , but an outdoor specialist did tell me to wear a good pair of walking type socks whenever you wear them , as it makes the fit right , saves slipping and the removal of the liner ( as a post above ) . Obviously Iv taken no notice , but things are fine with mine , but with winter coming I will get some.

Wouldn't like to see you in the full camo outfit  infact i probably wouldn't, just a head trotting down the river bank :)

I've been after some Taysports for a while but i'm struggling to find a stockist so i can try some on. Anyone know of anywhere Berks/Bucks area?

Mine lasted a year before both inners recently went at the heel. I still use them but have to be careful how far I walk in them.

Really? Just buy a pair of Boot / Shoe soles that any old pound shop sale, then you can walk for miles without any concern :)

I bought the tay sports in January and have fished in the snow without getting cold feet, without doubt the best footwear I have bought and worth every penny.
A word of warning though, when I purchsed mine they were very hard to find, the reason being that the company that used to make them in the UK has stopped making them and they are now imported from the US where apperently the testing is not as comprehensive as our own and numerous stockists that I spoke to had concerns over quality.

Just had mine on all weekend walking in Wales as my walking boots had split! They were spot on, even over good distance and handy when I went upto my knee in a bog!
The wooden bridge over my local beck nearly kills me every time though!

They are warm, not Skeetex warm but very comfortable, good for walking and mine have a great tread for gripping a muddy bank. Think they might be Derwent?
