I once caught the same rainbow trout on consecutive trots through the swim (trotted maggot).
I know rainbows aren't credited as being the einsteins of the fish world, but was still quite surprising.
It's not just the size you need to be wary of. I bought a pair of 11s (I'm a 10) and the left boot is uncomfortably tight across the top of my foot, so they'll be going back :(

Quality boots but far too big around the calf unless you have legs like Billy Vunipola. The laces should solve this but are a complete waste of time.
Will probably send mine back :(
That TFG All Rounder is a nice little rod & very versatile.
I'd probably go for a whip / margin pole though, depending upon the size of fish likely to be encountered.
Good call Paul, I found around 200 fry left high & dry on the middle Severn today in one dried out puddle.
Doesn't bode well for the future if this is repeated along the whole river :(
