Hi guys, with most of us getting back on the rivers over the next couple of days ,just check those pools which have been created by the floods for stranded fish, you wouldn't believe how mainy I've rescued over the years .
Good call Paul, I found around 200 fry left high & dry on the middle Severn today in one dried out puddle.
Doesn't bode well for the future if this is repeated along the whole river
When I was out Friday ,I found 2 pools with 28 fish in mainly roach /chub which were all safely returned . It always seems to be the same old species which get stranded with the odd pike thrown in ,thankfully very few barbel .
