You can also get those GPS trackers that send an alert if you fall over or press the SOS button.
We used to use them at work for Lone Workers, and have found that they could be set off by colleagues dropping them or throwing them on the back seat of the car in the coat pocket.
I picked up some of those Korum Glide Avon and Specimen floats in Melksham last week Clive. Huge sight tips! Looking forward to trying them out in the next few weeks.
Hi Jim,
Living close to this stretch, the reason for the level being lower is that the downstream weir is broken and stuck open. It's been like that for 18months or so.
There's already beavers on the Bristol Avon. Reported at Christian Malford a few years ago, and now downstream of Bradford on Avon with plenty of trees showing the evidence.
I've seen a friend make reference to The Hookbait Company recently. The Big Cheese range looks interesting. I'll have to investigate this next season.
My own cheese paste is Danish Blue, Mature Cheddar and short crust pastry mix and a drop of oil to soften.
My first photographed barbel of 9.15 from Christian Malford in the late 90's caught on Campbells meatballs.
We only lived 5 miles up the road at Bradenstoke, so I rang my parents to come down with the camera.
I've never caught a double and am not sure that's going to happen at Christian Malford...
In Aldi today I picked up a reasonable pair of sidecutters to act as spares in my pike fishing kit, or put in my lure bag. For the princely sum of £3.99

They seem to cut through hooks well enough for the price.
In Go Outdoors between 30 July and 5 August they presently have a voucher offer for a LED Lenser H7 head torch and P3 torch twin pack for £34.99 down from £65.

Some great stories here. Whilst living at home, we had a seperate fridge in the garage which our Mum never went in, so we were fairly safe there.
For those who've dropped some of the more pungent bait additives, a product called Auto Smart Bio Brisk should remove those smells.
