I’ve had a pair of Simms Goretex waist waders for over 15 years , still like new , wouldn't like to think what they cost now , but I’ve had my moneys worth , get what you pay for and all that .
The latest versions of Trigga / BFM should be renamed because they are not the same product they used to be , they are advertising under false pretences, any newcomer to the hobby is made to believe they are using the highly successful baits of 20/30 years ago and they are most definitely not ...
Like I said I’ve read from various sources and verbally that the original Trigga ingredient ie Trigerol is long gone and the German company who made it , Nutrabaits substitute for Trigerol is BAFs liver hydroslate , which I have in my bait cupboard but sadly I don’t have the Nutrabaits Trigga...
The problem is when bait companies insist the ingredients are the same from the original ones used back in the eighties/ nineties.
Why don’t they just say a few things had to be changed because of unavailability / cost , instead of riding on the laurels of the old bait .
From what I’ve read their latest version of Trigga is just BAFs Liver hydroslate
The original German company that made Trigerol went out of business years ago .
Don’t forget the waste water after filter cleans etc is brilliant for the garden , a great fertiliser. We had a Koi pond back in the ninety’s , but could never get the Koi to grow , turned out to be too much iron in the tap water , got told (wrongly ) that good old Yorkshire Tap water would be...
Let’s face it that Solar chair isn’t really designed for river banks , it’s a session chair designed to be used sat outside your bivvy on a long session .
The one I bought (above) does both and I’ve used it for both , it’s honestly one of the best items of tackle I’ve bought in the last few years .
What annoys me about Nutrabaits is the fact they still maintain that all the recipes are the same from the original recipes of Bill Cottams / Dave Moore etc
But a lot of the ingredients are not available anymore , so how can they be the same ?
I’ve had all the Shimano 4000 baitrunners and the only pair I kept were the 4000 OCs , the Thunnus are a bit over kill for what we want , the D version is nice but a bit bling and more expensive than the OCs .
The 4000 OC will do everything you want at a cheaper price . Plus easier to get hold...
I’ve always used banksticks on the Trent , hate tripods and don’t even own one , haven’t come across any situation where I’ve needed one
Korum screw in banksticks don’t move , don’t forget the plastic T bar you get with them , makes a solid set up in no time .
