    New tip ring

The ring on one of my Freespirit Barbel seekers has become scored, so needs replacing, does anyone know which tip ring is best to replace it with? It's the 1.75SU version, I can post a pic, as this is certainly not my area of expertise. Also, is putting on a hot melt job, or can i just araldite...

    What are you favourites hooks?

Another vote for Pallatrax gripz, and sometimes the Talon tips if i want a barbed hook.

    Kinver freeliners

They have a nice stretch at Kempsey on the Lower Severn, I've had some good fish there, and a couple of miles at Hampton Loade on the left bank - plus the Unicorn stretch on the opposite bank (don't go there in summer). Big bonuses are you can fish into dark, and they're generally a lot quieter...

    Solihull

You're even closer to the WA Stephen, Stratford, Bidford, Evesham etc. Not sure about day ticket opportunities on there really, but Manor Farm on a DT isn't that far away. Not sure how busy that may or may not be on the final day of the season though.

    Big Cat sightings

I did mate yes. Chap I know was fishing at MF, and a big cat walked along the opposite bank. I think a few anglers have had similar experiences in that area.

    Trotting rod

I had one of the early ones back in early 90's. A Garbolino "Bolo-stream" i think it was. In fact. I might even still have it somewhere. A cumbersome thing that I never got on with.

    What bait?🤔

Not quite sure about the "Master" label above, if i was then I wouldn't have blanked today. Last season I had my best season ever, and many of those fish I took on the Sticky Baits Krill active - so they definitely work. Most of my best fish though have come on 10mm pellets - no magic baits...

    Your angling journey.

I started by sitting behind my dad in his club matches in the late 70's. my granddad was there too, so I'd spend my days walking the banks between the two of them. I caught my first fish in 1978, a 3lb bream from the Warks Avon, and then joined my dad's club in '82. After that I was obsessed...

    Really disappointing luggage.

Could have been worse, you could have bought Korum and then had the zips fail after 12 months.

    Paste and boilie soaks

I make my own also, I use a cheap basemix and then add what I want to that. For shop bought ones, I like the sticky baits krill, it comes in a little pot and lasts quite a while.

    Floodwater line

The Lower Severn with 13/14ft on is a beast. I use 12lb there.

    Why Korum, why?

I had the same issue. Also a pity they don't make stuff where the zips don't give up after 12 months or so.
