Some good responses here, just to add as a Byfleet myself we have access to Calpac's waters at Cobham namely manor pond & River Mole also we are affiliated to TVAA again they have a number of waters miles upon miles of riverbank

I remember slipping down a path, legs in the air tackle all over the place thought I got away without ant breakages. Agree - just had a look at there new online Catalogue they have a multitude of rods for the specimen / barbel angler!! Some may argue expensive rods give better action - well for me with 1 barbel this year it not going to make a difference :)

Ditto i was wondering about the 9ft @2.25 for small rivers perhaps the 2.25 is better for fishing to snags as opposed to the 1.75 Regards Jeff

I think they are more suited to slower flowing rivers and still waters, generally what happens on the retrieve (after dropping out) the door rotates in the flow and has a tendency to pull out. It maybe as already mentioned a modification is required. Only speaking from experience when it...
