Changing the bearings on a J W Young centrepin?

Does anyone know what bearings to buy for a JW Youngs John Wilson Heritage y2000 and a BJ Super lightweight? I like the sound of the hybrid ceramic bearings mentioned above @Kevin Copping Links appreciated if possible. Many thanks.

    Fishing Negotiations

My missus says I'm much nicer when I come back from fishing or playing golf so she gives me a free reign most of the time. She's right though, I always feel guilty when I come from fishing/golf (either that or depressed). So shortly after a shower I make an effort to make her a cup of tea and...

Just found this quote by Ade in a previous post! Say's it all really.

    Congratulations................

Ade, to be concise you're a pl*nker. You say Townie is an attitude rather than a geographical generalisation but you actually use a geographical description to describe an attitude. PLUS in a completely general manner. I'm a so called townie and I have a good attitude towards cleaning up...

Brought over from the social board

To be honest, I normally struggle to justify £30 for a fishing book as I'd rather be on the bank creating my own stories. BUT this is a great cause and being the southern softie I am, I bid £80. I just wonder if you Northern nutters are game enough to put your mushy peas and battered mars...

Do You Tie Your Own Flies? FREE HAIR!

If you do, I have a Samoyed dog called Conan and I've just learnt that their hair is often used for tying flies. Never done it myself but this friendly beast of a dog sheds hair for fun, so I'm happy to put a load in the post for anyone who is interested? Postage will be free as I do it...

    Mission Accomplished!

Wayne, you're meant to report your cormorant sighting here: http://www.cormorantwatch.org/ Had a look on the map for our area and it appears as if nobody has ever reported them. Not surprised though as I doubt much will ever get down about it. PM for you by the way.

    Float rods for barbel

Thanks Clive. Any ideas what the name of the old Drennan version was? Or maybe you or someone can post a link up? Cheers

    Mission Accomplished!

Nice one Stuart! Great feeling isn't it! The contrast of having to be gentle when playing a determined Barbel/ and your precious need to land it, is what I like most... Since catching my first on the pin I've intermittently been getting up at 4am in order to squeeze an hour in before going to...

    Float rods for barbel

Daniel, you're right the Drennan 13ft Tench Rod is a three piece, but what you might call the third piece, is only a foot long...it's basically a handle extension from what I've gathered. Is that the same as yours?

    Mission Accomplished!

Cheers Martin and Julian. Martin, the line rating on the JW Youngs Trotter is only 2-4lbs and I'm after something with a little more grunt than that. Thanks anyway though.

    Mission Accomplished!

It's a 3 piece which fits my needs, so it's got to be worth a look. Thanks Chris. Hmmm, I haven't tried using tares yet...
