Had a couple of days in South Cornwall with the wife this week, didnt get to fish too much but did manage a bass.
Highlight of the trip was a couple of Dolphins that danced around in the bay while we watched
Managed to grab some shakey footage of them eating flatties.
Cornwall Dolphins...
I'd agree with Dave, action dependant.
There's probably a rule of thumb with carbon rods though. With bamboo fly rods its round the rod up to the nearest whole feet and add one i.e. 6'6" rod would generally have 8 rings plus the tip.

Like Paul said, neoprenes are HOT! Go breathable, save up a little and get Orvis. No quibble warranty so in theory you can spend £140 now and have waders for life! Not sure the warranty covers rips but they'll replace if they leak (which all waders do eventually!)

I'm no twitcher but dont think there are any straight black and white birds of prey in the UK. Although depending on light I'd imagine most could appear this way.
The male Hen Harrier is very light underneath and has black wingtips, but it also light on top. It's also much bigger than a...
Well done George,
I had a week in Cornwall with the other half last month. Although the weather wasn't ideal I did manage a few hours on one evening on a rocky beach where the mullet always seem to show up. There were some big fish around but they only seemed interested in spawning, thrashing...
I got mine a month or so ago, its a £2 voucher for any SPAM product from any store (i think). I got mine posted, arrived 3 days later. Still havent used my tin but hopefully it'll catch me a a whisker or two!

An old video but a cracker. What Mike Ladle doesn't know about bass fishing isn't worth knowing...

PS Seaguar is great line, the mullet boys swear by it and if it's good enough for them, its good enough for me!
Ah, I thought it looked like the Fal!
I've caught a couple of smaller mullet on the 'fly' - albeit a bread fly. Still not cracked them on a more traditional immitation. I think you could catch them on a telegraph pole and they'd still have your heart beating!

Well done George. Was that on the South Coast?
I love catching them in Cornwall, incredible fighters! I've all but given up on the ones in the Severn estuary near me. With the amount of hours I've spent watching them swim around my bait it would be more cost effective to drive to Dorset...
Optilabs for tackle tarts?!? I don't know about that, when I bought mine 4 or 5 years ago they were the cheapest place I could find a pair of polarised prescription lenses that didn't look too ridiculous! I think I paid around £130 at the time. A lot of money for sunglasses, but, at the time...
If you need prescription lenses I can highly recommend the Optilabs range. Had mine for years now and they've definitely helped me catch more fish!
Cheers
