Which reel

After taking adice on here and a bit of searching I have decided to buy 2 Free Spirit Seeker 12ft 1.75lb rods so the questions is what 4000 baitrunner or small big pit reel would suit them best??? (makes and models recommend)
Mainly upper and middle Severn fishing

Is the 40000D better than the Daiwa Emblem BR25A Reel also is the Emblem a bit to big?????

The emblem br25a is too big for 12ft 1.75 rod, it would suit 2.25-3lb better.
