Those Hants Avon barbel really are something special.12.12 for me. But she was a Hants Avon stunner. I've added a pound to my pb each season for the last 3 years, up until this year, when I added 2oz with this one. Still got until March, I suppose. Hope springs eternal...

I fished the swale for almost 20 years and never had a double off it.Be interesting but as Richard says it's so subjective and relative to location.
A Swale double is a rare creature. I'd be happy with 1 or 2 doubles a season. Nil so far. - a 12lber is a fish of a lifetime
Go South for an hour to the Trent and they probably wouldn't bother weighing a fish that small.
Not saying that Trent fish are easy or Swale doubles are an elitist pursuit it's just how it is.
