The Tsi stuff is absolutely brilliant.
Very high end
I’ve got the 15ft power float and it’s a sensational rod.
For its sheer power it’s overall weight is unreal

My first proper carp rod was TF gear, can’t remember the model but it cost £50 and despite the cheap fittings I thought it was a nicer rod than a £225 Free Spirit I’ve had since. The cheap TF Gear Avon I had was a bit top heavy but the quiver section was fine. Can’t comment on the top end stuff but even at the bottom I think there’s been far worse gear knocked out at the price.

They never stood a chance with the TSI stuff. Too many anglers associated TFG as being middle of the road gear at best and to put something in the shops labeled up tf gear for £250-300 a rod they were doomed from the start.
However if you disregard the name (talking about the float rod here) the TSI is quite groundbreaking. Mines 186g fast action tip at 15ft and easily capable of dealing with 8-10lb lines.
I can’t think of many others that match that

I’ve recently gotten hold of a 15’ TSi. Yet to put it through its paces, but in my own dry tests it is crazily powerful.

It’s probably too soft for barbel fishing I’d say chub fishing it would be ideal

Hi Alan, Ive got one, nice little rod, I still use it occasionally for barbel on the Wye and Teme but only in the summer when the river is low so light lead can be used. no trouble handling barbel in snag free spots but definitely not a rod to hit and hold. Will handle chub no problem.
