Please pass on to your dad. "Ongar and district angling society". Got app lication form etc and info Web site. Nice rod. Any idea what tsi stands for? I am thick as well as old. Looks like I will list my peregrines shortly as loosing water I use them on. Sad days. Regards

I’ve honestly got no idea what it means Alec maybe someone on here might know. Also thanks for the info I’ll pass it on to my ole man 👍

Putting a marketing hat on, (which doesn't fit anyway) I am guessing that the sellers TFG were alluding to the " measure" of any water, ie that it is the equal to the task of fishing any water. A bit of a tall claim I suggest but if they are selling as the "best" rod in the world maybe not too far a stretch. The dictionary then defines as "best" to get the better off as a colloquialism. Main definition is a superlative rather than the "ultimate" ie the very best. By coincidence I had a rod which was built for tackle dealers in Hull as a small run, who described their product( I think made by Abu) as the "Ultimate" . Frankly it flicked out feeders better than any other feeder I have had, bar none! Any thoughts?
 
Good morning guys. You have all been great by way of contributions to my enquiries.
Common courtesy insists I tell you how the tale of this rod ends. I was contacted yesterday through what I thought was my defunct fishing magic membership. In short a chap wanted the rod for very sound sentimental reasons, so its going shortly to the PO for parcel force. Whilst I am happy with the profit, ( Rob if we ever meet I owe you at least a breakfast) but disappointed I didn't get to use it as I rather liked it. I feel my avon is a little too sensitive for my polaris fishing and thought the FSI would be better suited. Now I will never know. Thanks to all of you. I really appreciate your input. Its been an interesting few days to be sure!
