Fjällraven are the best imo but expensive. Really hardwearing, cotton canvas type material. Breathable and can be waxed if you want to waterproof them. Will last you years

MagComsen softshell trousers on Amazon. Light lining so really an Autumn / Spring trouser (too warm for summer) Really comfy (stretch) / quick dry and very hardwearing . . .no rear pockets so also really good for bivvy / sleeping bag use etc

For Summer the Korda Kombats are actually also quite good . . .(better than Craghoppers Kiwi IMO)

As Barry P says Ridgeline clothing is good quality - I’ve got a gillet and fleece from them.

For trousers I went with Harehill. I’ve ended up wearing them for fishing, gardening, long walks and general messing about. They make a waterproof pair too but I went with these:

I have a pair of the Korda Combats, and they are decent kecks. I think Korda makes the same pair but lined for winter use.
My current favourites are Firetrap combats, lots of excellent pockets, and just a nice thickness of material which is suitable for both summer and winter.
