Trousers

MagComsen softshell trousers on Amazon. Light lining so really an Autumn / Spring trouser (too warm for summer) Really comfy (stretch) / quick dry and very hardwearing . . .no rear pockets so also really good for bivvy / sleeping bag use etc

For Summer the Korda Kombats are actually also quite good . . .(better than Craghoppers Kiwi IMO)

You will get as many replies as a bait thread 😀

As Barry P says Ridgeline clothing is good quality - I’ve got a gillet and fleece from them.

For trousers I went with Harehill. I’ve ended up wearing them for fishing, gardening, long walks and general messing about. They make a waterproof pair too but I went with these:

Craghoppers have a 2 pairs for £70 deal on their Kiwi Pro trousers at the moment. I rate them and they also have a lifetime guarantee, which can’t be bad….😊 And, if you sign up for their free Discovery Pass, you get free delivery on any orders plus other offers/ benefits. What’s not to like….?🙂

I have a pair of the Korda Combats, and they are decent kecks. I think Korda makes the same pair but lined for winter use.
My current favourites are Firetrap combats, lots of excellent pockets, and just a nice thickness of material which is suitable for both summer and winter.

PERCUSSION.
Check them on line, they have a full range of great clothing,
Check out NEW FOREST CLOTHING.
A very good selection.

Have a look at Harkila Asmund trousers. Just been speaking to the gardners at work who wear them and rate them very highly & they look decent

Jack Pyke from Go Outdoors.

I got them to price-match and paid about £30 for them.

Very hard wearing, stronger material around the knees and they have several pockets on them incl. zipped cargo pockets which fit a phone perfectly.

hello Gav, you at jurassic this year ?

On a budget Jack Pyke. Sub £100, Korda. If you can afford it, Harkila and Fjallraven.

FWIW, I have loads of Arcteryx stuff for other outdoor activities, but wouldn't dream of trashing it on fishing. I might feel the same about anything costing over £150.00 for a single item.

I’ve just bought a pair of Harkila Asmund trousers on the works gardners recommendation. Really pleased! Similar to Fjallraven but very slightly thinner material. Really well made, good pockets and reinforced on the knees for the rare Occassion i kneel down to unhook a fish. Really long (unfinished) legs for us tall people too! Should last for years
