trotting rods

well trotting rods, it all depends on what river your fishing, ie like the middle severn in places were the river narrows up and the flow can run at apace, i used to use my barbel power float until it got to a stage were i was hitting fish 30 yrds plus down river, and with mr barbel use the flow to his full advantage me, the power barbel could nt cope with it ,in many times my top section was double over and creaking under pressure as, the top section of the rod was in the water, i could nt give out to much clutch, other wise they kite up stream into the snags, so i opted for 1.75 tc rod better action and power to put on the brakes really hard, and the second reason was 2 peice rod quick set up,
