Hi All,
Sorry about another net thread........LOL.:D

Aimed at you people who use a tri net head for Barbel, what are you using? Doesnt seem to be that much available if you dont want to spend a lot? Had a dinsmore net but its a little small but a nice price, anyone using the 30 plus xs camo net think about £20? Not interested in a spoon type net..

Its also strong enough to cope with flow and pushing through weeds!

Used one for about 5years John and I can't fault it, nice touches with the lead wire in the net corners, alloy spreader block seems very strong all in all bullet proof - and the best bit it folds down into your quiver...... Steve
 
Don't know if they are still available but I use the Middy 30" barbel net with the weights in the corners of the mesh, had mine for years and it's bomb-proof!
 
Wychwood are now producing a 30/32 inch pan net for around £25. it has a magnet in spreader block that base of the net stick too. It is a better size for barbel then the Drennan net. I use my drennan net for chub.
 
Just had a look on the wychwood website and it is called the 30inch quick fold net £25.
Looks a good bit of kit.
 
Ive just sent my wychwood back via angling direct as it bent out of shape with the first fish I landed with it:mad:
been waiting a week for either a return or money back :( not a happy bunny
I also have the 30 plus triangular which is an excellent bit of kit no troubles there

Hi All,

I have the Dinsmore net i purchased mine as a 32 inch net ive never measured it but it does seem a little small i will have to measure it...As you say they are advertising the 30 inch one now..

There doesnt seem much to go for now other than the 30 plus nets that are a sensible price.
 
i have a 32" triangle net with north western arms best net i have ever had quite rare now but if you can find one there a nice bit of kit

For that price i have to say that the Dinsmore net is very good, strong arms nice soft open freeflow mesh the 30 may be a little small though...
 
Also noticed that Ebay has a load of those NGT 36 inch Tri Nets anybody had one?
 
Agree Alex, Berkley Nets are good quality. Had dozens over the years, broken more than most but have had two for a number of years now - The Middy IQ Strong Arm for Barbel and a Berkley 42" for Pike/Carp. The Middy gets used far more and is bombproof, the Berkley gets used every winter and has survived five of them so far!
 
shakespeare 36" triangular net. uses spreader block, rolls up and fits in quiver.
job done. :D
