No, not at all similar. The Drennan Sedge has a set back eye and is a finer wire hook, while the TMC 2457 has a set forward eye and is thicker in the wire.

Si, i didnt try em, but i will. Think there's some in the bfw shop; Hinders dont sell em. The only hook that didnt straighten was the korum 12 S5s and i cant get them locally anymore. What was really surprising was that the size 12 korda choddy and 12 & 14 drennan barbel specialists and fox armapoints ssbp all opened out and i've has some very good barbel on all of those hooks.
Ive just bought some of the new mustad eyd specialists 6033NPBLN in 10,12 & 14. They look good and are supposed to be very strong, but i suppose i'll find out soon enough.
