Had a day session today, earliest I've ever been out after tench.

The water was alive with them today, behaving like it was June. Rolling, fizzing, in the margins, tearing up the weed beds.

I had 4 very welcome red eyed beauties

A nice tench from this evening on the float, first from a new lake too. Paste wrapped pellet (nothing on corn and my prawns were still frozen/floating)

Not the biggest tench I've had from the water by a long way. However, there's a good chance this is the biggest tench I've had that was bred in the lake. I was far happier to see this little pup at 2lb 3oz than the 4lb 12oz fish I had an hour before.

First Tench session of the year yesterday dawn til Dusk. BLANK, fished maggot feeder on one rod, method feeder and worm on the other and a boilie sleeper rod. Not a sign of a fish.

Only person on the lake should of told me something.
