Tackle that has gone up in value

Oh. I have the Barbel Society Fisher Magazines from no 1 to about 20 .
Guess they have increased quite well.

I binned lots when I had a big clear out of books that I never read :( ...............

oh, found BS Mags 16 to 31, never even opened let alone read any of them - been doing lots of sorting out jobs whilst staying at home

The original Abu 507 go for good prices. The Fox green Kevlar Barbel rod still does well for a second hand rod. Most centrepins do well compared with what was paid for them. Books reached a height but now seem to have fallen away in price over the last few years, with most recent (15 years) leather bound ones really being hit.

Catch Cult issue 1, i heard one sold on ebay for £50, and i nearly gave my one away free

Also got an ABU closed faced reel with spare spools somewhere in the shed, not sure what model, never going to use it, so may dig it out. :)

A Fox Duo-Lite specialist 13" float rod ARD 023, green weave pattern, can't find any info whatsoever about it on the internet.

Various other old rods, bits and bobs.

Shimano Antares rods or the original diaflashs can easily fetch more now than they ever were . Fox Kevlar and kevlex rods are dearer now than they ever were
Wish I’d kept my kevlex barbel rod as it would probably make twice what I paid for it now. 3500b reels can fetch £120 a piece nowadays in good nick.

Keep hold of them Ady , the one I mentioned was a very early one , there are some very avid ABU collectors out there

CC1 is/was very collectable. I believe it may have been going for a £100 at one stage, not long after selling out, of the one and only print run.

Most shimano reels made in Japan make good money. Wish I hadn’t sold my unused xtea 5000 for £50 years ago however personally didn’t like it felt much too heavy for my rod. Fox Kevlar rod mine went for nearly £300 on eBay. Daiwa ss3000 reels, even the rereleased ones are going for silly money now.

I have some original Solar bobbins, monkey climbers and quiverlocs...3if each probably from mid 90s?? Was recently offered £150 for the lot😳

I’ve got a few Paul Witcher reels that I’m hoping have increased in value although they so rarely come up for sale that it’s hard to judge. Mind you they do get used a bit and can’t ever imagine selling them.

I’ve got a Speedia wide drum deluxe centrepin still in box never ever seen daylight. God knows what this is worth now

Fox easy Mat but in camo colours.
The plain green ones fetch nout but you get one in camo and you can add a boat load of carp tax to it 😳

I had a clear out of my tackle shed last weekend, found x5 Bass lures now out of production, apparently worth £15 each now, only paid £5.

I did give mine away to a bfw regular, I’m not worried though, it went to a good home.

Have you seen how much the original Fox Replicants sell for ...£50 or more!!!! Why?

Early Drennan Tench Float and Super Tench Float rods. Quite reasonable prices at one time, then went through a period of high prices. Tended to have stabilised now.
Cheers Bob
Bob There’s a mint Tench float on eBay at the moment on bids & it’s upto £155 + £10 postage still a day to go...😮
A well used one last week made £130 + £15 postage
