Stretching mono

Hopefully you have got it sorted now but reading this was reminded of when my main plan of attack was a maggot feeder with a quiver tip.
After a couple of trips found my mainline was frayed,you could feel it when you ran your fingers down it.Dispensed with the quiver tip,problem solved.
No marks or anything on the tip,dont know,a mystery.
