There's always de-salination Anthony. With rising sea levels there's no shortage of water.

They could start with not spilling half of it getting it to our houses. The losses are bloody scandalous, around 20% is lost on route apparently.

I'm a massive advocate of renewable power sources. I'm sure this can be combined with de-salination. Will it happen? I doubt it.....
