Hi men,
For the £45 I paid I'd like it hand delivered to my swim
TBH as its on my phone , and in over 50 years of angling of never ever having being asked , I'm not worried if it turns up or not .

.... the money saved would be ploughed back into Angling....
Again chaps you don't really need a paper licence do you? All you need is the verification that you have paid. I would have thought the need for a paper copy is way gone in 2017, personally if it cut down on cost and meant the money saved would be ploughed back into Angling, that would be better, surely?
We no longer have paper tax discs on our vehicles do we? That money saved ensure our roads are kept in top condition, the same could apply to the Rivers.
It was a bit tongue in cheek David, but thinking about it I don't really know if there would be any extra actual cost involved in on line registration and verification .I would say it would be pretty clear that some cost saving would be achieved in not printing/ posting 'cards' and of course the extra admin in all that. The problem is that those without a computer would be a problem, maybe we could have a choice?Neil,
That would be fine if angling wasn't still living in the dark ages. We still have club books (or cards or the really go ahead ones!) and paper day tickets, so do you really think that we can move to virtual licences? It has taken many years and major investment in technology for the move to virtual road tax licences and that will never happen in angling. Indeed, given the ongoing complaints about EA spending (or lack of) on fishing, would you really want them to pour millions of pounds into a virtual licensing system?
