As I mentioned it must really be under 11'. 9/10 would be ideal thanks again food for thought. Rich
Drennan acolyte plus, take you’re pick from 9,10 or 11 foot.
I treated myself to the 11’.Ive been using it for chub on the Loddon and Blackwater, everything from link ledger to 2oz maggot feeder and its coped well with chub to 6,2.
No barbel on it as yet, however the match boys haul carp on them to doubles!
Shimano beastmaster 9-11’ is another option, the old version has three full top sections if you find one(think the new version has push in tips)
Certainly not for pulling big doubles away from snags but much more fun than a heavier Avon rod,
Cheers,John

I agree with John
I use a pair of 11’ Acolyte Plus with 2, 2.5 and 3oz tips and a pair of 9’ Acolyte plus with 1.5, 2 and 2.5oz tips. Both rods are rated up to 8lb line.
Lead and pellet, maggot feeders to 2oz, link and freelining, they do it all and are so light in the hand.
I use Ultegra 1000 reels on the 9’ rods and Ultegra 2500s on the 11’ rods, wonderful set ups 👍👍👍🥰

I’d like to think that Richard has sourced the rod he was after by now Luke , the thread was posted in 2018..😂😂

Anyone know of a good short quiver rod 9' to 11' that would take line 6lb to 8lb B/S. Its for small river close quarter rod to fish chub and barbel.

Thanks.

Rich.
Yes. The unfortunately discontinued drennan medium feeder 11'6 to 13ft combo is by far my favourite chub rod, always seem to catch my best fish on it... How that happens I'll never know! 😂

And my 11ft & 12ft Torrix 1.25lb twin tips I had done years ago, I had a quiver section built for my drennan tips. Maybe a builder out there might still go through the trouble of doing that build? 😊

Have a look at the sonik xtractor+ specialist rods, all 10ft retractable. The twin tips are great, they do a 1.5lb and 2lb tc. I've got both but only used the 2lbtc so far. They are really light and nice to fish with. Reasonable prices too.

I have a Super Specialist Duo 12’ 1.5lb tc in perfect condition if anyone is interested £150 ovno
Also a 12’ Super specialist 1.25lb tc in mint nick, a steal at £135

How about a nice Daiwa Tournament pro 9/10 or 10/11 carp feeder? Absolutely amazing rods will handle carp up to double figures not cheap but the best never is….. from fishermans friend in solihul
Speaking from experience as an owner of both👍🏻
