Rod and reel found - middle Severn

No Dave, As I suspect you were I was brought up in an age where littering was a social no no. If you were seen dropping a sweet wrapper adults would tell you to pick it up and you would not dream of answering back; that formed a habit with me and I would no more leave litter in a swim than I would defecate in one.
Also in every club I have ever been a member of leaving litter is a no no and can lead to a ban.
I believe leaving equipment is akin to leaving litter although I have left the odd rod rest behind, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (usually boot sale purchases) to see if anyone else has fished the swim since I was last there.

That's quite a contradiction, I thought you had prepared 100% over the last two centuries against accidents?:D

Good news, rod and reel were returned to their owner last night. :D

Lost rods etc

If you ever feel the need to set up a tackle shop, try scuba diving at Drayton Reservoir. The bottom is littered with kit dragged from the fishing platforms. I suspect that we all have a tale or two to tell. I won't bore you with the story, but I was lucky enough to recover some kit of mine from 35 feet of water using a lashed up drag. There is a God.

we wait with stinky garlic spam baited breath in anticipation......... ;)
