Rod and reel found - middle Severn

If i had a hat on i would take it off to you dear sir..but i dont so i wont be taking anything else off! ooh er. Whatever happened to making excuses for others eh? A bleedin rod goes in the water and everyone gets their Y fronts in a twist!
 
It's not as if the owner did it on purpose. We all have mishaps.

Oh dear God....just pray that Adrian doesn't spot this, otherwise we will have another post telling us how he NEVER forgets his cup, or anything else...EVER...never happens...been doing it for 140 years and not forgotten one single thing................yawn..................:D:D

You should take a flask, with the cup integrated into the assembly.
Though that's not stopped me forgetting tea bags!
 
Bif flask full of hot water. Seperate tea bags,milk etc and pot noodles! Oh,and Agavae syrup for sweetening. Natural sweetener,low in calories and no aspartame. Hows that for being careful!
 
watch ya rods whilst brewing up.....they may go in and all this will start again ;)

Adrian - not sure what relevance my post has to rocket salad, science or anything else peppery. I was merely commenting on the inane nature of some of the replies. You've either lost a rod, fallen in, both or neither. In your case (as in mine) it's neither. Also in my case, no lecture or condescending remarks.....mainly because I've been lucky so far :)

I've never had a rod pulled in and never fallen in either. I've never snapped a rod and never had a tangle or a wind knot, nor blunted a hook. I've never snapped off whilst casting or deeply hooked a fish. I've certainly never opened up a hook while playing a fish or had the line snap. I've never left my landing net at home, or my flask and I've never ever been discovered whilst having a poo in the bushes!

There again I've always been a saint and never ever told a fib or sworn!

Now were are the halo head emoticons when you need one?

Second only to Terry the Mad jumping out of his dinghy,rod in hand and winding himself down to the bottom in 20 foot of water after a Carp that got 'Stack' :) It also got off :lol
