River tripod recommendations

I am also getting the river pod from Defiant MPS.
I've gone with auger all round.
Currently asked for 8" and 7" bars - Does that sound a bit narrow?
I'm using BR25As which are bulkier than most 5000 sized baitrunners - 7-8" rears will be fine and I prefer a decent splay so tips have clear separation. I like my reels close(ish) but its also easier to pick up either rod whilst remaining seated and close to rods on day sessions . . . being an OCD carp angler I'm also anal about bail arm roller / handle positions always being the same so they never clash when tight on a buzz bar (habit from using 3-4 rods on pods etc)

The fantail sound's like the pod for you then , but if you were to need any mods just chat with Keith, he's very accommodating.
I'm having a tripod built as we speak, but have gone for 32" legs and a digging stick with glow head, that Keith has made to be used as a stabilizer with the tripod , as I'm a belt n braces chap , and like my tripod's to stay on the bank , in case of any miss flicked on baitrunners.😵‍💫
That stabilizer sounds interesting Jim - how does it work / clamp on? Are you negating the rear bars as I was planning on using the auger on the 'spine' and a bungee around the rear bars to secure the pod down

The stabilizer is Keiths own design, but with a 20 inch digging as the spike which will fit at 90 degrees to the main shaft, for a bit more stability and security, I'm still having a butt rest for my cups but like these well off the ground.
