Reels

no, i just searched on the net

the company i used was Nordfishing77

error in original post - Nordfishing77 is in Austria not Netherlands - my apologies

i don't use Ebay for general searches - better to go to the source if possible

you could ask Shimano Felindre as they got me the spare spools?

don't see a problem buying from Germany or New Zealand (i bought my Swazi clothing direct from Swazi in NZ and saved over half on the prices charges by Ray Mears Bushcraft)

buying from Australia is also hassle free in my experience

to best buy from the USA i suggest you find a friend who is going there for a holiday/business to bring them back for you - buy online and have delivered to their hotel - they will quibble to start with but phone and explain the situation

before Covid my friend went to the US every year for golf

hope this helps?
I've already got Thunnus reels but will look into buying the spare spools

the SS2600 is imo old technology - line lay leaves a lot to be desired
i can live with the line lay because the clutch is far superior to any other similar reel
btw i don’t think the line lay is too bad and 90% of my fishing is underarm flicks so never found it a problem ...
if you want to see bad line lay get some shimmy 3500b,s

these spools were loaded in johnson ross this is what they looked like after 2 trips to the trent

There’s nothing wrong with the line lay on the SS whiskers it’s as good as the modern Shimano baitrunners and the longer nose spools will certainly help to put a bait out further if needed. I’ve got both and can give an accurate detail on both.
the whiskers are mainly let down with the lash in the anti reverse. There’s way too much of it meaning that tightening up to light leads can be a pain without pulling them back.
both have wonderful clutches and both very reliable. The whiskers have a far better folding handle design and the shimmys are obviously a lot better balanced and smoother.
shimanos oversized line roller is much nicer than that on the Ss but the Ss has a more solid gage in the bail arm especially over the 4000 sized shimanos.
old they may be but they’ve proved their worth and continue to do so

I brought a Yuminoshi reel from China it’s a bait runner model, less than £15 landed and honestly the line lay is better than that.

None of my Shimanos have that issue.
Yeah the line lay really is poor on the 3500b's. But still my favourite reels for the Trent and close range piking. The clutch is second to none ime, and they crank in heavy leads and feeders effortlessly. Amazing for playing fish on.

That was the old B’s that were a bit shoddy on line lay. To be fair even though they did this it never really went too noticed. I had a pair and other than the visual eyesore of the line being messy on the spool, there didn’t seem to be any detrimental effects on performance. I flogged them because they were heavy fat things.

There’s no problems with the line lay on this at all. I bought this to replace the aero x on my chub rod outfit.
being used a lot recently for tench and it’s been great.
Now if we want to talk line problems there’s a reel that gave me no end of grief the aero x

anyone rate these ?

Wasn’t a fan of the line clip to start with found it a bit awkward but after a couple of sessions I can’t see why I thought that. Only been using the reels this season but had no problems with them yet
