Prince Albert

Nick

Not being a member of BA(A) I am unsure how the club works , but I would guess they would take volunteer bailiffs from within the membership ?

So , why aren't you a volunteer bailiff ?

It narks me when people are quick to step up to the keyboard and complain about a lack of bailiffs and poaching yet do nothing about it when they have the chance

So rather than complain, do something about it

Christ on a bike! I don't know where to go with this. My original post lamented about big clubs don't offer local people to club waters either a free membership or discounted membership. I then posted that baa cards used to print on there xards tgat you can check anyone on baa waters. The cards now don't say that, but I do check all I come across anyway.
This is also after emailing John Williams of the baa complaining that there needs to be more high profile bailiffs on waters.
Yet you chose to ignore this and just be a complete muppet. I was actually quitemmiffed when I read your last post, but then read that you were northern and all fell into place!

BAA don't do volunteer bailiffs as such, and they have a team of bailiffs that are assigned to the role, and have to undergo training. I considered this job but felt that I would be better being 'undercover' :D

I as a BAA member do when I feel the need check on some of the more dubious types and that has been rather too much of late. However there have been incidents of bailiffs being attacked especially at a local Severn fishery and BAA have found it difficult to find bailiffs to patrol this route.

I certainly don't like Nick check everyone, can you imagine that?
But I am aware of the real dangers we all can face out there, especially with the transient summer workers.

Nick my fellow BAA member you might want to reconsider being regional in your 'digs' :)

Oh well, at least you have wrote a letter , congratulations

So , seeing as you have gone down the road of personal attacks and insults , I could say that you don't have the testicular fortitude to put your hand up and become a bailiff ?
Anybody can say they ask people when they go fishing , what does that do ?

The PA have a written rule that all members are bailiffs . The general reality is that members do not want the hassle or any confrontation so don't bother

But you write a letter telling people who actually DO something how you think it should be done , you spineless pompous coward

Have the balls to be a part of the solution instead of whinging and criticising from the comfort and safety of your keyboards location

Stuart,

At almost 60 years old even i don't send "a letter" anymore. You say that im a spineless coward and a keyboard warrior yet you post this on a forum. Touche jelly spine!!! I'm an old boy with those morales and if you want to meet me just pm me the time and the place. Oh and for the record you started with the insults.

I await your pm

I started with the insults ? Really ? Don't tell me you are going to quote me on the Sherlock comment ? Hardly an insult was it !?

I do my bit , I give up my time and put myself in situations that I probably shouldn't . Hardly jelly spine or keyboard warrior material is it , but how would you know that , you just assumed I was a northern idiot ( some may agree )

Didn't realise you was so old nick , obviously it would be a bit much for you now to actually DO something .

Let's leave it there eh old bean

Let's leave it there old bean?

I'm 59 years old. I'll not have anyone put me down Stuart. I work on the rule that you talk to people how you want to be talked to.

Try it then nick as you seem to be under the impression that it's fine to insult me without a reply

I asked you some questions that you felt the need to reply with a derogatory reply aimed at me , somebody else also picked up on your " localised dig" in my direction and picked you up on it

My stance is simple , either put up or shut up on the subject of club bailiffs or lack of them

We is all bad ass mother fu**ers on here, just killin time til the floods pass. Chewin the fat bout this, an that, an no one is puttin anyone down. It's all cool bro, it's all cool. We is talkin on the level, no one up, no one down see. It's all cool bro, it's all cool. Let's bust sum cans, chink them babies and pray for the floods to pass and the people they be safe. That's wot I'm talkin bout. In it.

And people say us southern's can't do rap. Ha.

It's only fishin, in it.

shame

I had the letter to join come a couple of years ago,but had just joined the white swans, more local waters for me,i think they may over exaggerate the size of their waiting list on their website.

I agree Chris......reminder how to close a thread please?

Time out please Nick?

Its fishing remember when you could not sleep, thinking of the day ahead and that catch?

Its a forum to help each other achieve what that person wants, pass on info....nothing else

I give so many Olive branches agreed or not but at the end of the day i only give it to thick ***** LOL

Not received your pm Stuart. take it your an Internet warrior.

Nick, please, this is hardly necessary. You are not really going to meet and engage in fisty cuffs are you. It's always a bit depressing when the moderators have to lock a thread because lines get crossed.

There is no need for this.

I turned my invite down a couple of years ago, waited just shy of 3 years - 2 years less than predicted after my initial application which was a nice surprise. It came just after our first child was born and having hardly any fishing time it wasn't worth it for me at that time. They have a huge amount of water to fish and for anyone who has the time to take advantage it seems excellent value for money to me. With regards to clubs patrolling their waters it would be impossible for any club to have 24/7 patrols but I'm lead to believe PAAS are quite well served in that department. I never once saw a bailiff on any of Nottingham AA's waters over a number of years and the same goes for York DAA for several more! Southport DAA have a stretch of the Ribble that's well served but that's due to one local chap who's prepared to put the time in ( and enjoys the authority! );)

The waiting list is now about three years. Yes they have a range of waters to suit all types of anglers. Yes their waters are bailiffed. Of all the waters I fish (bar one Yorkshire river "syndicate" - theirs are the best for lack of litter and undisturbed fishing. As long as you read your rule book you should have no problems.

Just remember Fight Club does not exist!
