Do you save much making your own leads or is it just boys and garden shed toys

Yes Jason, i havent bought a feeder for over 3 years and to make me fully self sufficient i have now bought 2 gripper lead moulds, which are excellent quality and very easy to camo.

Save a fortune over the years.... and save my mates a fair bit too....
Moulds £25, Lead £0, seeing the look on my mates faces when I dont charge them..... priceless

I looked around for lead coating materials a few years ago and stumbled upon the fake 'grass' powders used by railway modellers. It's available in green and brown. Coat your leads in araldite or similar and then roll the leads in a tub of the powder. It has a nice texture and is not shiny.
