Pike ... Red letter day

From time to time we are all blessed with a good days fishing ... and I have been lucky enough to have just had such a day

For the first time ever on a piking session I ran out of bait in four hours after notching up 24 runs with 19 fish landed .... including four doubles to 16:8

The real pleasure was also fishing 110 acres of mature gravel pit and being the only soul there .......... long live carp fishing

I had a few similar days, one on my syndicate lake, when I landed 21 Pike and a 2,4 Perch, all on driftfloat lives.... I couldn't catch the baits quick enough....

Another pike water

Lucky enough to have the fishing on another unspoilt pike water in Sussex ..... 150 acres with only four boats on it

Monster pike and perch ... so I am told ...... fish finder primed and ready to go

Ian, yeah kind of. It had rained somewhat overnight and the lake came up about 6inch; which is a lot of water in that size of lake.
