In much happier times , a swim we did very well in , lowered sue down to stand on that trunk , it was chaotic stuff as the fish were unaware of you standing on their heads . We used to lean against the bank watching them up close , no need for a rodrest .

The top field is head high with balsam etc and not maintained at all. And now there's no longer sheep in the lower fields, and due to massive amounts of flood debris etc, there's very few swims available down there. I'm used to Teme 'jungles', and I love them, but that stretch has all but been destroyed. Once you work your way into a swim you find it full of half-sunken branches/logs etc. The opposite bank (ex BS) is now a better option IMO (see @Shaun Nurse ).Hi men
