Aller Aqua Best 4.5mm is one the newest feeds that has been developed by Aller Aqua. Best is 38% Protein 15% Oil and it has high levels of blood meal in which is highly attractive to fish so not only is great for fish farming it's also great for fishing too. Best will achieve great growth rates...
Are these sort of pellets good for loose feed? I've bought similar from my local independent tackle shop before rather than branded Halibut pellets. Obviously they smell completely different to Halibut pellets so I wasn't sure how effective they would be?
Although I guess when hungry, Barbel and Chub will eat anything?
I don’t think the fishing brands actually make their own pellets? Maybe some have some made? But I suspect very few do, Just repackage what’s made by the aquaculture companies Skrettings and Coppens for example, for rearing fish? Halibut, salmon, sturgeon, etc that are mostly reared for eating And adding flavours to the surface of them to catch the angler? Lots of pellets don’t even contain much fish meals any more and are made up with various vegetable proteins with oil added I believe?
If you look on the Skrettings and Coppens website it tells you what the make up is of there pellets and what stage to feed the fish with the different types of pellets
